Elliott Strick, MA, LMFT

I believe that psychotherapy has the ability to enhance the quality of one's life. It allows people to become more consciously aware, more loving to and accepting of themselves and others, and to experience life more fully, living with joy, confidence, and compassion. The therapeutic relationship is a fundamental building block that serves to guide one's healing journey.

What Is Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

What Is Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy was developed in the early 1980's by psychologist Dr. Richard C. Schwartz. It is a non-pathologizing approach to psychotherapy, often used to treat trauma and depression. It utilizes family systems thinking with the view that the mind is naturally composed of relatively discrete sub-personalities, or "parts," each with their own unique viewpoint and qualities that show up in our daily lives as thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors.

$175 Individual appointments 53-55 minutes

Payment, or any copay, is required at each session (or in advance), and can be made via check, Venmo, Paypal, or ACH (electronic transfer).

Insurance
Psychotherapy appointments may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to find out what your mental health benefits are. The following questions are suggested to ascertain your benefits when contacting your insurance company:
1. Do I have mental health benefits (sometimes referred to as behavioral health).
2. What is my co-pay per session. Or if your plan has a deductible, ask what that is and if it has been met. What is the coverage amount per session.

I currently accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Husky (Medicaid). For all other insurances, I can submit a claim for you as an out-of-network provider. If your insurance is out-of-network, you will be responsible for my regular billed amount at the time of your appointment. Any out-of-network reimbursement by your insurance company will be sent directly to you.

Cancellation Fee
When you have scheduled an appointment with me, it means that the time is reserved just for you. If an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged $100. Exceptions include a sudden illness or medical emergency for you or your child.
