If you are an Internal Family Systems therapist who is new to IFS, and are wanting to deepen your skills beyond your initial formal IFS training, engaging in IFS therapy for yourself, as well as getting IFS supervision, is the best way to really learn the model. When you become familiar with your own internal family of “parts,” IFS becomes a natural and organic lens to how you view interaction with the people around you. In knowing the model this way, you gain confidence, expertise and proficiency as an IFS therapist. You will also become a good “Parts” detector for your clients. This is the practice I have participated in for myself over many years. As an experienced IFS therapist, I can offer you individual IFS therapy, and/or IFS supervision.
